The Expo coincides with activities around World Elder Abuse Awareness Day which takes place annually
on 15 June. Elder abuse can happen in different ways, including financial, emotional, physical and neglect.
To raise awareness of this important issue, seniors from the City of Whittlesea came together to participate in the Warm Safe Home project. They made small cardboard house models, decorated to show what a warm, safe home means to them. These special creations will be showcased at the Ageing Well Expo, along with a free information session by Seniors Rights Victoria
